ABOUT US

I believe we can all agree that there is no shortage of Dental Practices in Knoxville, but we like to think we have created something pretty special here at Bearden Family Dentistry.  Some practices may shy away from using technology and others could have already determined your treatment plan before you step foot in the office and open your mouth.  Neither of these approaches will provide a balanced solution for your dental needs.  At Bearden Family Dentistry, we have created our own course of treatment plan...

Listening. To You.

From there, we blend the worlds of technology, professional collaboration, and conservative care to build a custom treatment plan built specifically for you and what's best for your overall health.  There is no one-size-fits-all happening here at Bearden Family Dentistry.  Custom treatment planning means a better outcome, and ultimately a happier you.

Because at Bearden Family Dentistry, you are at the heart of it all.

About Us

OUR SERVICES

Routine Exams

One major aspect of preventive care is routine checkups and cleanings. By seeing us for checkups and cleanings regularly, we are able to examine your teeth and detect any potential issues before they become serious problems. This will ultimately save you time and money in the future!

Crowns

The porcelain crown is completely lifelike, with high translucency. Porcelain offers a fine alternative to other tooth restoration materials. Made to perfectly match the shade and shape of your teeth, it’s durable, it’s strong, and it’s virtually undetectable.

Composite Fillings

White (composite) fillings are preferred by most patient due to natural color, strength and appearance. Composites can be made in a wide range of tooth colors allowing near invisible restoration of teeth. Composites are bonded into teeth and this strengthens the tooth’s structure. Composite fillings are more conservative since they require less removal of healthy tooth structure.

Veneers

Veneers are a conservative way to correct damaged, discolored or misaligned teeth. A veneer is a customized, thin porcelain cover that is bonded over the surface of the tooth. Veneers provide patients with a bright, aligned, natural looking smile and are the most popular of the cosmetic procedures.

Dentures

Dentures can solve a wide range of problems for patients who have had their teeth removed. Dentures can allow patients to use their mouths more normally again, like they were able to before losing their teeth.  Patients may need dentures for a variety of reasons. We promise to communicate with you throughout the process in order to provide you with the best dental care possible.

Teeth Whitening

Our popular in office whitening technique takes 1 ½ -2 hour appointment time. It is a very effective whitening method and the results are seen immediately.  Our at home whitening system is also available. Custom trays are made to fit your teeth and whitening gel is applied to the trays. These trays are worn for 30 minutes per day.

Extractions

An extraction is performed to remove a tooth, whether because of disease, crowding, or damage. When extractions are required, the area around the tooth will be numbed and your dentist will remove the tooth.

Bridges

A bridge is replacement of one or more missing teeth. This is a restoration that replaces or spans the space where one or more teeth have been lost. Few incidents have greater impact on dental health and personal appearance than tooth loss. When one or more teeth are missing, the remaining teeth can drift out of position, which can lead to change in bite, decay, gum disease and loss of additional teeth.

Pediatric Dentistry

The sooner children begin to understand good dental health, the easier it is to prevent problems in the future. Teaching them good oral hygiene and healthy eating habits is essential to healthy teeth and gums. Fluoride treatments are provided at each check-up and cleaning to strengthen the teeth. As permanent molars erupt, we offer sealants to help prevent cavities. We recommend an initial visit for children at age three (3).

Teeth Whitening

Custom trays designed to fit your teeth with whitening gel applied to the trays is the most effective whitening method.  We also offer a prefilled whitening tray for your convenience.  These trays conform to any smile and are ready to use right out of the box.  To purchase either of these products you must be a patient with Bearden Family Dentistry.

Implants

Dental implants are much like a natural tooth, which has a root in your jawbone, topped by a crown you can see. When an implant is needed, we can insert a metal post beneath your gum and into the bone. This procedure is done right here in our office. It fuses to the bone in your jaw and acts like the root of a tooth. A crown or bridge is then fabricated to cover the implant. Implants can also support a full denture.
